OUR STORY

How we started

 

     Paul and Anna were born in Bklyn NY.  Paul pursued a career in Emergency medicine/Firefighting and Anna became an Artist and Instructor in Fine Art.  Paul was always exposed to baking growing up by his mother who baked frequently.  He  was a FD Chef always cooking and baking in the Firehouse.  When Paul retired he decided he wanted to open an Italian Bakery.  So in 2011 Gipetto's Cookie Jar and Bakery was opened in Inverness Fla.

 

     We carried many of the traditional italian desserts, cream puffs,eclairs,wedding cakes, cookies, as well as italian bread, rolls, and even Brooklyn bagels.   We won the Urban spoon award and the Taste of Invernesss award for the Best Bakery/Restaurant.  All of our critics who lived in the Northern states  and visited Fla  were very pleased to find a bakery that could supply them with the same items that they had left behind.  Due to a death in the family and other circumstances we decided to close the bakery. 

 

     However we are now open again offering the same fine quality bakery desserts and bread.   We have decided to keep our operation small and more personalized so we are taking private orders only.  So please feel free to call us with your order.
